What was your most creative idea?

Even though I’m still in love with Horizon‘s concept, I’d have to say my most creative idea was Buy My Wheels to put a dream price on every car in the world. “Make Me Move”, but for cars. Why? It offers a strategy to significantly expand the number of people who are in the market to buy or sell a car at any given time. The genesis for the idea came from driving to my friend’s cabin and passing car after car sitting abandoned in fields. Those cars are all highly coveted by the right buyer — who may or may not be actively searching for sale inventory at the moment. However, at the right price, they’d absolutely be a willing buyer. Likewise, the sellers don’t necessarily need to get rid of the car right now — but likely would take the money to offload the car were an offer present itself.

It takes into account learnings from working on Zillow’s Make Me Move in the real estate industry. Beyond that, it incorporates my understanding of consumer tech marketplaces, cars, and product strategy.

Lastly, I’m personally jazzed about the potential brand name for “Buy My Wheels”…
