The House on Saturday unanimously passed a bill to pay all federal employees retroactively for the government-shutdown period, however long it might last.

The government is shut down. Parks are closed. Federal employees are at home…not working…because the government’s finances are in dire straights. Yet, when the shutdown ends – we’re going to pay them for all the time they missed anyway?

WTF? Why are they not working, if we plan to pay them either way?

Am I the only that thinks this is fucking absurd?
