Headed to Saint John for the Carnival Finale

Dan and I are finally headed to Saint John today for our first island hopping adventure of our stay in the Caribbean. There is a Carnival on Saint John from late June that ends on July 4th (today) and we thought we’d catch the tail end of it by taking a quick 20 minute ferry over. Here is todays’ (4th of July, 2011) schedule for the Saint John Carnival. I’m kinda bummed we missed the 4 am J’ouvert festival. Oh well, one more reason to come back to the Virgin Islands.

Knowing Why You Are Doing What You are Doing

Do you know why you are doing what you’re doing? If not, why not? Are you doing what truly makes you happy? Here’s some great life/business advice from Derek Sivers in his interview with Amber Rae. He clearly understands life more fully than most…and, for him, it involves helping people and only saying yes to those “hell yeah” ideas. PS: I love this quote from his new book Anything You Want (affiliate link) In the end, it’s about what you want to be, not what you want to have.
