This video is from October, so a little dated, but I just saw it via Jerry’s post on myKRO.org. It’s a video of Matt Damon on the David Letterman show, and he talks a bit about Water.org and microfinance. If only all celebrities spent their time on stuff that matters rather than on fancy cars and partying.

This is cool, don’t get me wrong and Matt Damon is certainly dreamy, but what they are not talking about that is absolutely vital to “clean water” is sanitation! For an awesome discussion of this read The Big Necessity. George discusses how celebrities don’t want to have their image connected to poop, so no one talks about the need for sanitary waste disposal but that is the main reason third world countries can’t get clean water. Such an eye opening book.
