MySpace is Run By Morons
By Drew Meyers | April 11, 2007
Maybe I’m over-reacting, but are you freaking kidding me? I’m seriously shocked at how stupid myspace’s decision seem to be. BLOCKING photobucket? A huge reason that myspace has been so successful is that users have the ability to add all sorts of plug-ins and design templates to their pages. Just as bloggers love the capability to “pimp” out their sidebars, users love to pimp their myspace pages. I seriously do hope Myspace loses at least a couple hundred thousand users as a result of this decision. I don’t get why they are trying to build every feature themselves — they are already suffering from lack of focus. They can’t do everything and if they try — they’ll end being mediocre at everything and good at nothing. I certainly hope they maintain this course of blocking widgets since I’ve always been rooting for Facebook.
