Here&#8217;s update about the Kodjo&#8217;s Store that I loaned to - The business you have loaned to, Kodjo&#8217;s Store, has made a repayment of $75.00.  The total amount repaid up to now is $75.00.  The payment was collected and deposited by Microfund Togo.   This repayment will be divided amongst all the lenders who helped to fund this business, depending upon the percentage each lender contributed.  Note that you cannot actually withdraw or reloan these funds until after the loan term is complete. 		<description>I&#039;ve come across this last year but never been able to add the widget. I&#039;ll think about it carefully this time. :)

Anyway this reminds me of Muhammad Yunus and the Grameen Bank he founded, extending loans.  Most recipients are women who engage in small businesses. His microfinancing have helped many poorpeople. What a great way of teaching them to be self sufficient and lift themselves from poverty. 

This is quite successful  I&#039;ve read somewhere that the Gateses are using this model in some African nations.</description>
