All About the Money??

By Drew Meyers | October 14, 2006

It’s a mistake too many people make (IMO)- the assumption that people do everything for the money. On TechCrunch’s post about the Venice Project, there was a comment that irked me a bit-

Yeah, sure… Friis and Zennstrom just want to do anything that makes as much money as physically possible.

I don’t really understand why people think everyone does everything for the money, especially people like Niklas ZennstromĀ and Janus Friis (founders of Skype) who clearly don’t need the money. Maybe this comment is from someone that is not an entrepreneur and doesn’t understand what makes entrepreneurs tick- the challenge of succeeding. I know there are some people that would choose not to work if they had the choice- but personally, I would be bored out of my freaking mind if I wasn’t working on something challenging and fun.
