The Shire

By Drew Meyers | September 19, 2006

Total disclosure here–> my uncle is developing “The Shire,” so I’m just giving my readers here some notice of a post I wrote on the Zillow Blog today about my uncle’s development in Bend, OR. Joel at Future of Real Estate Marketing also wrote about the community (he beat me to it!!) and Marlow Harris at Unusual Life picked up the story as well.

Oops! I didn’t know this development was done by a “real” person! I thought it was just something dreamed up by some smarmy marketing company. Upon re-reading my post, I sound kinda mean! You helped put a human face on this subdivision and I’m sorry now I was so catty….. I think I’ll put an update on Unusual Life with a link to your Zillow post. And I’ll say something *nice* this time! :)

    Marlow-
I appreciate the response. I actually didn’t realize there was a negative vibe in your original post, but I’m sure my uncle appreciates the update! I’m glad I could shed some light on the subject.
