Over at Techcrunch, Marshall Kirkpatrick detailed how Microsoft Live Local and Yahoo! have beefed up their local search capability. They are both still playing catch up to Google, but this is a step in the right direction. The web really is changing very quickly. It’ll be interesting to see which company is the 1st to create a drop dead simple, yet effective, interface to access local search capabilities from a mobile phone.
