Is Web 2.0 Failure getting lost in the shuffle? Having less than 1,000 users? No revenue? A social networking site without user generated content? More employees leaving than being hired? Something completely different?

I don’t think there is one thing you can point too that signifies an end to a Web 2.0 company.  The beauty of web 2.0 is that any company can make a play at any time. It doesn’t take years to get to the top anymore. When Kiko decided to list their business for sale on eBay, someone can take it one of two ways. First, you can think the founders failed at Web 2.0. Second, you can think the founders simply have a better idea to pursue. So, are you optimistic or pessimistic? 

I’m an optimist…only time will tell who will be the next great entrepreneur. It very well could be the same people that listed Kiko for sale.
